MEP MODELING AND SHOP DRAWINGS
MB BIM works closely with trade contractors to model mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems based off of design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications including the associated insulation, clearances, and supports. These models are then coordinated with architecture, structure, fire protection, and existing elements. From these models, installation drawings are developed to communicate the coordinated conditions to the field. Determine if any design changes may be needed to install work efficiently and properly. Coordinating building systems in advance allows for systems to be fabricated and installed quickly and reduce the risk of rework.
This service includes:

Review of design drawings and generate RFI's based off coordination issues that are design based

Model mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their associated insulation, clearances, and supports based off of design drawings, shop drawings, and specifications. Systems will be modeled with input of trade subcontractors and how they prefer for them to be installed.

Coordinate MEP content with architecture, structure, fire protection, and existing elements. Evaluate the architectural and structural models for content that may be missing, but will affect coordination

Develop coordination drawing to describe to coordinated size and location of modeled building systems

Provide models and support to the field to ensure content is being installed in accordance with the coordinated model
